Welcome Guide

This Guide is reserved exclusively for my boudoir clients!

I’ve gathered tips and tricks to help plan a stress free and exciting boudoir session.

Boudoir has so much to offer, no matter your why. As a Boudoir photographer one of the most rewarding things is to be able to help women see themselves as how everyone sees them: beautiful.

Below you will find a lot of helpful information on what to expect, outfit inspiration, what to bring and more.

The Studio

Studio Address is:

202 W Wisconsin Ave Neenah WI

Entrance at the Rear of the Building through the Turquoise Door off of Church Street.

There is street parking, a parking garage and a city lot nearby. Parking on W Doty Ave is 3 hour parking, which is normally where my clients choose to park as it's a short walk.

If you need assistance finding the studio when you arrive please give me a call or send me a text message (920) 215-1294

Leading up to your session

The Day Before

  • Wash your hair

  • Shave desired areas the night before to avoid razor rash.

  • If waxing do so at least 48 hours in advance to minimize pinkness.

  • Skip the spray tan as it can leave dark spots on your pores or streaks on hands & feet.

  • Stay hydrated and drink lots of water in the days prior to your session, this will keep your skin glowing and hydrated.

  • Treat yourself to a mani-pedi the day before your session.

The Morning Of

  • Rinse off in the shower but don't wash your hair

  • Be sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry

  • Make sure you have zero make-up on

  • Wear loose-fitting clothing, avoid tight-fitting undergarments that could create indentations on your skin.

  • Moisturize yourself, skip oily or sparkly options. (be sure not to miss your feet!)

  • Repeat After Me: "I am Beautiful, Worthy and Strong."

When you arrive

You will cherish these images forever and that's why as part of this luxury experience professional hair and make-up is included. While you are in hair and make-up we'll chat, laugh and have a wonderful time.

After, we'll go through your outfit options, try a few on and choose favorites.

Then the exciting part begins...Shoot Time!

Take a Deep Breath because you are going to be an amazing model!  I always tell my clients that the BEST models are the ones who have never modeled professionally before... and I mean it!  The ladies who are usually most nervous are the ones who totally rock their session, so be encouraged!  I've worked with EVERY personality type and EVERY body type, and I always create images that my clients love!!  Get excited!

What to wear

The options are endless when it comes to deciding what to wear for your boudoir session, but don’t feel overwhelmed.

I always recommend my clients bring a variety of outfit options that we can go through the day of the shoot, as to add visual interest and a wider variety for your final gallery.

As women, we come in all sizes, shapes and colors.  Some of us have scars, others have stretch marks from childbirth, and that's okay!  That's what makes us women.  No matter your size or shape, there are plenty of places to find both cozy and sexy outfit styles that will allow you to feel fabulous and rock your confidence.

Lingerie

I absolutely love the variety of styles and outfits I’ve seen my boudoir clients bring to their sessions. In case you’re feeling stuck and need a bit of inspiration, check out some of the ideas below and take a look at my Boudoir Outfit Inspiration Boards HERE

I find bodysuits photograph AMAZING and really compliment every body type!  Matching bras & panties are also a favorite.

Color choice is a personal preference but classic black always photographs well. There are so many great colour options including maroon, emerald green, teal, and shades of mauve.

If desired, bring nude colored underwear for extra coverage under bodysuits and sheer underwear.

Client Closet

Something that I offer my clients is the option to feature pieces from the studio client closet! (check out the ladies lounge Lives for some sneak peeks). While I do still suggest everyone bring a few lingerie pieces of their own it can be fun to highlight something new and different as well! I currently have sizing XS-4XL

One final note

I know I just gave you a lot to think about.  I created this guide to help make your boudoir session experience something you'll look back on fondly.  At the end of the day, the outfits you select won't matter nearly as much as the way you feel during and after your session.  I want the moments we spend together to be a time where you can just be yourself and enjoy it.  Above all, my goal for you is to walk away from your session feeling confident and empowered.  Have fun.  Laugh a lot.  I'll take care of the rest!
